We all have a body.

AND we all have a story about our body.

In particular, We all grow up with a story about what we are allowed to do and not allowed to do with our bodies.
And in turn, We all have a story about what other people should do or not do with their bodies.

Today, we are going to chat with Lindsey Lockett about Body Sovereignty. She and I are two people who view the world through a trauma-informed lens, we have been seeing the wounds around Bodies on full display in our current events.

Life-long friendships are being dismantled over thoughts about the vaccine.
Families make agreements about not talking about certain topics at the dinner table.
We are unable to bridge the gaps in opinions and see the humanity in another person who has a different lived experience than ourselves and therefore has a different thought and perspective than ourselves.

What I find so healing about this conversation with Lindsey is that she is someone who embodies her story, so unapologetically and so unflinchingly that her story of trauma has alchemized into medicine. And from this place, she shares her wisdom about what body sovereignty actually means - to live, breathe and share it with her community.

Lindsey Lockett is the host of the Holistic Trauma Healing Podcast who educates her community about trauma in a fully integrated approach that melds together the physical, mental, emotional, spiritual, and ancestral parts of their being.
