As a Sexuality doula®, somatic practitioner, and sensualist, Ev’Yan Whitney is dedicated to sex education and sexual activism for women and non-binary folks, helping individuals reclaim their unique sexual expressions and reconnect to their sensual bodies. Through her work, her goal is to focus on decolonizing, unshaming, and liberating sexuality at the intersection of identity, pleasure, and embodiment.
In this episode, Ev’Yan gets intimate with us on the role sensuality has played in their personal life more recently, and how they’re tapping more into what sensuality looks like for them in this current moment. This conversation is an invitation for you to look at your own relationship with sensuality, how you can get more grounded into your sensuality practice, and starting with the basics of what feels good to you.
We also talk about:
Their relationship with sensuality
The difference between sensuality and sexuality
How our views of sensuality can actually shrink us
How we experience sensuality and hard feelings
Performative pleasure
Holding the pose with your boundaries
Taking a role in someone else’s sensuality
