But this week, it hit international headlines on the revision of its death toll from the Covid-19 pandemic to 4632 nationally, a low number compared to tens of thousands dying in other parts of the world. China’s administrative harshness was felt in Hong Kong on April 18 when police arrested 15 pro-democracy activists. Catholic religious are now becoming frontrunners in the fight against Covid-19 as local governments are seeking their help and institutions as additional hands in India.
