Today, pharmaceutical company, Moderna, began Phase III vaccine trials on their Covid-19 vaccine. This involves  injecting 30,000 volunteers with the vaccine and then infecting them with the virus to see what the short and long term effects are. Most Phase III trials last years. The US government would like to see this completed before the end of this year. With the race for a cure in full effect, how likely will one emerge before 2021 and if it does what is the chance this cure could be worse than the actual disease?
