Jacob Salem is the Founder and CEO of EZ Metrics which is a turn-key social media marketing company. They focus on helping small business owners grow their business using social media marketing. Jacob has worked with businesses like the Zig Ziglar Corporation for years, helping them reach their fullest potential out of their social media marketing.


Jacob shares several marketing tips for a few of the social media outlets.


Jacob uses a four cylinder system when consulting and helping businesses grow their social media marketing:




  1. Social proof - choosing the platform that you want to be present. Pick the platform that the most of potential clients are using. Commit to this platform. Post every day, engaging your audience’s attention.




  2. Opt-In - This is a place (a link to your website, landing page, etc) that you can exchange your potential client’s name, email and phone number for something of value - a coupon code, a free video, or something that is relatable to your industry.




  3. Nurture - Automated text messaging, automated email marketing, automated voicemails, even snail mail. This cylinder uses all means of contact to keep your clients and prospects engaged in your business.




  4. Paid Advertising - Brand awareness, taking your daily content and making sure it gets in front of as many people as possible.




Caleb and Jacob discuss Facebook marketing. He explains the difference between personal pages and business pages. Jacob also covers the difference between paid followers and organic followers and the benefits to both. He goes over when to post links and when not to, how many times to post per day and several other strategies that will bring your business to the top.


Caleb and Jacob talk about the difference and similarities in Facebook and Instagram marketing. Jacob shares several tips about advertising on Instagram and how to effectively market your business if your potential clients are primarily on Instagram.


The most important piece of advice Jacob gives is to commit to being active on the social media. Commit to posting at least once a day. Make your business’ presence known on the social media platforms.


Caleb and Jacob move onto Linked In. Jacob tells listeners to establish your personal Linked In profile no matter what, even if Linked In isn’t where you are predominantly advertising to clients. It creates more web presence for you and your business.


Caleb and Jacob talk about what information is necessary to hire a digital marketing company and when this is a good step for your company. He says the three main points to remember are understanding where your profit and loss is, what can you afford to invest, and how much time are you willing to set aside to do this.
