  • A SEPTA bus driver was shot and killed in Germantown Thursday morning. Police say a female passenger opened fire on the Route 23 bus. There were other passengers on the bus at the time of the shooting, but they were not harmed.

  • Mayoral candidates Cherelle Parker and David Oh generally agree that more police are key to fighting Philadelphia’s violent crime problem, but slight differences became evident in the one face-to-face debate of their campaigns, here at KYW Newsradio.

  • Members of the Air National Guard based in Atlantic City were sent to the Middle East along with a squadron of F-16 fighter jets. They join a few other squadrons of aerial combat aircraft, in addition to intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance assets.

  • The Prince of Monaco was in West Philadelphia on Thursday to observe the  Philadelphia Zoo's educational programs. The prince saw other ambassador animals, including Rowan the Hawk, inside KidZooU and lions, Makini and Tajiri overhead in the Zoo360 trail.
