• The search continues for the two young children who were swept away during a flash flood in Washington Crossing on Saturday. Their mother was among the five victims who drowned. Officials have identified all five confirmed victims and the missing children.


• A Philadelphia prison guard is in the hospital after an inmate at Curran-Fromhold Correctional Facility beat him up over the weekend. The correctional officers’ union says it’s just one more example of the ongoing safety concerns among prison workers that are getting little attention or help from the city.


• A ceremonial groundbreaking was held Monday for a $65 million renovation project of Philadelphia's historic Cobbs Creek Golf Club.
