Full Hour | Today, Dom Giordano led off with some doom and gloom, but also some positive news for Philadelphia. First, Dom decides to offer the good news first, telling about an upcoming budget vote by the Philadelphia City Council which would bring the soda tax up for debate again. Giordano tells why this is particularly good news, telling it may not only be the end of the soda tax, but the rising of a potential Mayoral candidate in David Oh, who has been a proponent against the tax since it’s culmination. Then, Giordano offers the doom and gloom, which has been consistent in Philadelphia, telling of a carjacking in Cherry Hill that led to an arrest in the city.

Then, Karin Majewski, special education teacher in Bucks County, returns to the Dom Giordano Program to elaborate on a piece she penned for Broad and Liberty telling her story of leaving the teacher’s union. First, Giordano asks why Majewski has left the union, with the teacher explaining that the political ideology has become so strong and has moved so far left that she could no longer associate herself with the group. Majewski explains why others have been silent on the hyperpolarization of the union, telling that many teachers are upset with the new push toward leftist policies, but refuse to ask questions in fear of repercussions.

After that, Giordano plays back a controversial clip from The View’s Whoopi Goldberg, who argued that race was not involved in the Holocaust, a suggestion that sets Giordano off. Also, Giordano reveals updates around the coming Olympic Games in communist China, including a social media post from a United States luger that glows about the Chinese offerings at the 2022 Olympic Games.
