Full Hour | Today, Dom led off the Dom Giordano Program by discussing tonight’s first round of the NFL draft, arguing that the NFL draft is rife with socialism, with players being assigned teams after leaving college. Giordano suggests that, as a capitalist, he’d like to see the league drop the draft and allow teams free reign to recruit and sign football players as they wish. Producer Dan takes umbrage with the suggestion, arguing that the league would fail if there wasn’t a level of forced parity that allows teams such as the Green Bay Packers, a community-owned team, to compete with Stan Kroenke’s Rams or Jerry Jones’ Cowboys. Then, Giordano plays back a clip from Real Clear Politics’ Wegmann, who grilled Biden Press Secretary Jen Psaki on the decision by the Administration to forgive up to $10,000 in student loans, with the reporter asking whether those who already paid will be retroactively refunded for their payments.

Then, Jeff Bartos, candidate for United States Senate in Pennsylvania, rejoins the Dom Giordano Program to discuss a busy week in the Republican Senate race, after two early week debates shuffled the deck in a very heated race between multiple strong candidates. First, Giordano asks what Bartos was thinking in the debates, looking to hear what was going through Bartos’ head as Carla Sands and Kathy Barnette squared off over their past records, with Carla Sands referring to a ‘card’ that Barnette repeatedly plays. Bartos offers his opinion on that feud, and also weighs in on the rivalry between candidates Dave McCormick and Dr. Mehmet Oz. Giordano asks Bartos if he feels like he felt a bit overshadowed in the direction of questioning, telling him that he would’ve liked for Bartos to have more time to expand on his points. Also, Bartos offers his opinion on the hit ads by the McCormick camp levied against Dr. Oz, arguing that the continued focus on dual-citizenship is out of bounds.
