Full Hour | In today’s third hour, Giordano welcomes back in Pennridge School District President Joan Cullen onto the Dom Giordano Program to discuss her district’s decision to end its diversity program. First, Giordano greets Cullen, joking whether there is a team at the Inquirer dedicated to following her actions after their repeated reporting of her conservative tendencies. Then, Giordano asks Cullen about the decision itself, with Cullen explaining why Pennridge decided to take this stance on Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion programs, telling of the divisive nature wrought on by the program, including white privilege and equity of outcomes. Then, Giordano and Dan discuss a freedom of speech case playing out in the Supreme Court over a high school coach who held a prayer circle and would preach to players after games. Joseph Kennedy lost his job as a high school football coach after praying with his team midfield. Dan and Dom both agree that the players who did not want to participate could’ve easily stepped away or taken a moment of silence to meditate, and that the open show of faith should have been allowed, although Dom can see the argument that, due to a power dynamic, many students felt forced to participate. Dom spends the remainder of the hour taking calls from listeners who both agree and disagree with his thoughts on the topic. (Photo by Jim McIsaac/Getty Images)
