Last week, news broke that Mayor Kenney was meeting with representatives from Safehouse, the nation’s leading organization in the push for safe injection sites, to potentially rebirth the discussion of a similar site in Philadelphia. Two years ago, Anthony Giordano, along with other Philadelphians, teamed together and through the courts received a decision that such a site would be illegal. Anthony tells the negative impact that such sites have on communities, and tells why he and others are so against such an initiative.
