Mark Hines, chairman of Moorestown, NJ’s Economic Development Advisory Committee, joins the Dom Giordano Program to discuss the economic implications of legal recreational marijuana on a small town such as Moorestown. Earlier this week, Hines told a local newspaper that Moorestown, while determining whether or not to allow the sale of recreational marijuana, has focused on the potential revenue from taxing marijuana sales at every level. Hines told council that he recommends no limit on the number of licenses for different cannabis outlet in the town. Hines explains the benefits that such legalization would bring to the town, and explains that with surrounding towns allowing it, Moorestown would suffer if they were to prohibit it. Also, Hines takes a look at peripheral issues surrounding the legalization, explaining why he suggests the town to ban the public consumption of marijuana. (Photo by Getty Images)
