George Bochetto, one of the candidates at last night’s Senate debate, rejoins the Dom Giordano Program to discuss what he had hoped to portray in the debate. First, Giordano asks Bochetto to expand on his comments made about mail-in voting during the debate, calling attention to the questionable nature of drop boxes in the 2020 election and the role that Act 77, ushered in by Senate competitors, had on weakening voter integrity. Bochetto tells that we need to throw out the debate about mail-in balloting and drop boxes, reverting to the Pennsylvania constitution that notes that a person must only vote for themselves, showing identification, in hopes to strengthen elections moving forward. Bochetto tells that he believes this debate will end up in Supreme Court, telling of a potential fix if Act 77 is deemed unconstitutional, explaining what he would do to help aid this if elected United States Senator. Then, Giordano asks Bochetto about the attacks levied between candidates in the Senate race, particularly between Carla Sands and Kathy Barnette, telling that the media seems to only focus on attacks rather than solutions, and tells that he believes the office is above the beefing.
