Dom Giordano leads off the third hour by delving more into detail into the topic of the stimulus bill, and Elizabeth Warren’s newly proposed provision that plants the seeds for her Student Loan Tax Relief Act. In the new provision, any student loan debt forgiveness that is passed from 2021-2025 will be tax-free. As it currently stands, forgiven debt is now considered taxable income. Giordano takes umbrage with this for many reasons, first the sneakiness of placing something like this into a bill and forcing Republicans to take a side. Then, Giordano hones in on the general idea of the provision, explaining why he believes the forgiveness should be seen as a gift, which should be taxable. Also, Giordano continues discussing things that’ve become antiquated with callers. (Photo by Alex Wong/Getty Images)
