Columnist David Zweig returns to the Dom Giordano Program to discuss a Coronavirus piece he penned for Wired. In the piece, Zweig argued that the CDC owes parents better messaging regarding the vaccination for children. In the piece, Zweig writes of an advisory committee meeting that discussed, among other topics, vaccine-related cases of myocarditis, which have hospitalized hundreds of adolescents. Due to this discovery, numerous countries have altered their pandemic recommendations concerning people under 18 receiving the vaccine. The CDC though instead pushed forward the next day announcing that there was nothing to worry about, and children should continue to get the same dosage as adults. Zweig tells of this meeting and what he’s discovered in his investigation into the situation, and discusses with the Dom the negative effects of refusing debate surrounding an issue such as the pandemic.
