Alex Marlow, Editor-in-Chief for Breitbart News, joins the Dom Giordano Program to discuss his newly released book, Breaking the News: Exposing the Establishment Media’s Hidden Deals and Secret Corruption. In the new book, Marlow explains how the establishment press destroyed its own credibility with a relentless stream of “fake news” designed to smear Donald Trump and his supporters while advancing a leftist agenda. Giordano asks Marlow about a nugget from the book that really stood out to him, that being information on a ‘new Soros,’ Laurene Powell Jobs, who has a big hand in controlling media rhetoric. Marlow tells that Jobs, wife of late Apple head Steve Jobs, has very cleverly come up with a way to fund the press, funding ‘activist press’ which Marlow further explains, and by purchasing media properties such as The Atlantic and Axios. Also, Marlow discusses the relationship between media corporations and China, discussing comments made by wrestler and actor John Cena, who apologized in Mandarin for calling Taiwan a country.
