from 2021-01-04T06:30:03
Rodney J. Lee is a poet and educator who has lived and performed in Las Vegas, Nevada, for over 35 years.
Former Airman, construction worker, casino employee, English teacher, and current School district administrator, he is known for his wide-ranging perspectives on the extraordinary-ordinary of everyday life.
His work is poetry against all the odds, by any means necessary—an expression of tough lessons & earned revelations sung in the lyric of living.
In this episode we discuss his latest book release "Along These Trails" , published by Zeitgeist Press.
Zeitgeist Press is so proud to release this history of the spirit of Las Vegas in poems and photos (236 pages). It encompass the founding of Las Vegas and Nevada history, inclusive of the perspectives of peoples of color.
It is a landmark achievement drawing a mystical connection to the past, the diversity, the daring, and sacrifice of our forbearer's. It illustrates the trails and pathways they traveled that frame our community and lives today and into the future.
A Special Shout Out to my dear friend, Stan Henderson, for introducing me to Rodney!!
