On today’s show: The AMP Fitness Podcast Show Notes
Episode 20: Why fitness assessments are crucial to long term fitness and health success. And, why having a start and end date to your program is effective and impactful to your programming. Hi, I’m AMP. Arthur Michael Pike. I am a personal trainer and online fitness coach licensed by NASM. The National Academy of Sports Medicine. I am NOT a doctor. This is an educational and entertainment podcast. I started this podcast because I am a lifelong podcast listener myself and have learned so much from podcasts.(think: giving back) I also know it’s hard to “fit” fitness in, therefore; I want to help busy people become as fit as possible—given their unique circumstances. Let’s start reaping the rewards. I want to develop my writing and speaking voice with this podcast, the more educated I am, the better this show will be. (Hi, reliability.) I also want to interview fascinating people with equally fascinating stories. Lastly. I want to try something that absolutely terrifies me—which starting and maintaining this podcast absolutely intimidates & stresses me.(on a episode basis, too!) (Hello, Imposter Syndrome) Anyway, all this is leading up to thanking you for stopping by and listening. I’m humbled. If you enjoy it, please leave a review. Those help a lot.

Three meaningful quotes I can’t get enough of:
"Before you discover what you love: fewer commitments, more experiments.
After you discover what you love: fewer experiments, more commitments."

Martial artist and actor Bruce Lee on pushing yourself:
“Don't fear failure. Not failure, but low aim, is the crime. In great attempts it is glorious even to fail."

"Life rewards action, not intelligence.
Many brilliant people talk themselves out of getting started, and being smart doesn't help very much without the courage to act.
You can't win if you're not in the game."
James Clear
