If you remember, Anakin was at a very intense moment emotionally when Padme confronted him. Obi-Wan surprises Anakin on Mustafar, literally pushing him over the edge. Anakin pulls away feeling completely betrayed. Our alternate scenario follows what would have changed if Obi-Wan never snuck on board Padme’s ship, surprising Anakin. To recap, Part 1 has Padme reasoning with Anakin, keeping him safe long enough to atone for his actions with Yoda and Obi-Wan.
