The grace of God or connection with the Universal Life Force is always available to us - exactly where we are right now. It is only in being open, honest and authentic that we are most able to receive. Culture, parents and religion might teach us that we need to prepare ourselves to meet the Divine by acting in ways that others feel are "appropriate." The idea of needing to be different, better or appropriate before approaching God is not only damaging and destructive - it is a lie. Higher Consciousness seeks connection with us constantly. Each moment we breath in and breath out we are in conversation with the Life Energy that is our true nature.  Conscious connection with Divinity is most available to us when we are vulnerable and able to take it in. No preparation needed. We are always good enough for God.
