My favorite acronyms for fear are Face Everything And Recover or Fuck Everything And Run. These describe to two ways most of us manage fear and anxiety in our lives; avoidance or constructive action. When we choose to turn toward our anxieties we grow, mature and heal the deeper issues driving our fears. Generally fear is past experience projecting itself into our future, ruining our present. Approaching fear as our teacher opens us to being our best adult self and to turn the love and compassion we offer to others back onto ourselves.
