Giving and receiving are like breathing in and breathing out, but most of us are out of balance. We either give too much and feel depleted and unappreciated or we take too much and become selfish or overly dependent. Most of us fall somewhere in the middle.  Healthy giving and healthy receiving are complimentary parts of the creative process in all areas of life. The cyclic giving-receiving dynamic nourishes us and gives us a sense of purpose, connection and meaning.  

When we grow in our ability to give and receive in appropriate ways, we connect securely with the larger consciousness system and more deeply with the people in our lives.
