Workplace harassment is tricky - everyone’s talking about it, but nobody’s taking it to HR. Could it be due to a lack of knowledge of employee rights? Or fear of professional repercussions? 🥵🥵Singapore is a top nation in gender equality, but our workplace harassment laws are sorely lacking. At present, there is no proper definition of what constitutes harassment in the workplace, and no nation-wide guideline that companies are legally required to implement. But workplace harassment has been around since FOREVER; and we’ve only begun to recognise it.

This is the second part of our two part series on workplace harassment. In this episode, I speak with a gender-equality advocacy group in Singapore, to discuss some precautions if you are new to the workforce or joining a new company, and how to manage a situation where you think you might have been harassed.
