At 10 years old, Jamal Hill was diagnosed with a rare disorder called, "Charcot-Marie-Tooth". (CMT) CMT is a degenerative nerve disease that damages nerves in the arms and legs. Up until Jamal's college swimming years, he never really told people about his condition. Like myself, he didn't want people to look at him differently because of his condition. After a college swim meet that went poorly, Jamal had an epiphany, he was going to drop out of college and become a pro swimmer! Fast forward to Tokyo and this dude just won bronze in the 50 meter freestyle!!!! LET'S GO! Thanks Jamal, for inspiring those who are different to chase their dreams.
