GC#46 - Heart of Stone, Heart on Fire - Omer Day 46 - a podcast by Amram Landau

Peace and eternal truth seem unlikely partners. Yet on day 32 of the Omer, we see the two combine in spectacular alliance. Evidenced by the beautiful fraternal relationship between Moshe and Aharon, who could so easily have had their bond wrecked by jealousy, they form a perfect bond, leading the Jewish people faithfully through the wilderness for 4 decades. 

In opposition to פרעה, the man with a heart of stone, they both demonstrated a caring heart - a desire to ensure that every individual amongst the Jewish people was cared for.

The key to understanding how they were so all-encompassing, is contained within two simple words - לב טוב - a good heart. Comprised of the two components of turning from the negative and acting positively, we arrive at the nexus of the two parts of the Omer - the eve of Lag B'Omer - the day where the little spark becomes a roaring flame...
