There are a lot of opinions out there on what a picture perfect family should look like. There are also a lot of statistics that speak loud saying that dysfunctional, abusive families can arise out of any picture perfect image.
A family can be comprised of 2 People, 1 Person, Different Genders, Same Genders, Kids... and should include Lots of Love!
So why so much judgement when someone's lifestyle that you don't approve of decides to fall in love and raise children? Is the fear of your beliefs overcoming the reality of the truth? There are so many picture perfect families that aren't perfect at all and so many that are extremely abusive to their child.
In this podcast I speak with Jennifer and Stephanie PageWise, 2 parents of a wonderful young man that have success not only in the relationship they both share but in the family dynamic that they have worked intentionally to put into place. The result is a confident, happy son that is growing to be a happy, confident adult. We dive into the stigma of gay marriage, blended families, teens and the ups and downs of life in a family that doesn't fit into the social norm.
In addition, Stephanie and Jennifer are also on a mission to help other people improve their relationships as well.
So why the judgment? Isn't that our goal to create the next generation of big thinkers, hard workers, happy, compassionate and content with the person they have become?
