It’s been a dovish couple of days for central banks. First, as NAB’s David de Garis explains to Phil Dobbie, Australia’s weak CPI numbers make a cut more likely in Australia. New Zealand is following a similar path, and the central banks in Canada, Japan and Sweden have all indicated rates will be on hold (at best) for a year or more. Yet the US economy continues to perform, but could they also be considering a rate cut?
