Next up: Martinsville Speedway-Martinsville, VA Saturday nightSchatz Watch

Donny Schatz couldn’t have started the season off any better after winning the World of Outlaw season opener on February 10th at the Volusia Speedway.  But after that, Schatz fell into a slump.  There was a 7th place finish the night after that.  Then a 6th to round out the Gator Nationals. On March 4th and 5th Schatz picked up 5th and 8th place finishes at Cotton Bowl Speedway in Paige, TX.

Next at the Thunderbowl Speedway in Tulare, Ca on March 11th and 12th, Schatz ended up 12th and 24th after an early race incident saw the 15 machine flipping over 2 times.  (8 points)Schatz’ troubles continued with a 22nd place finish at the Merced Speedway on March 13th.  But he then rebounded with a 6th on March 25th at the Bakersfield Speedway.  Then a 10th the following night at Perris Auto Speedway.

Donny has turned it all around lately with a 3rd on March 29th in Vado, NM.  As well as a runner-up finish on April 2nd at the Devils Bowl.  Hopefully this means the 15 team has all the gremlins worked out, and a big season is ahead of them.World of Outlaw points: 1. Brad Sweet (1550) 2. David Gravel (-32) 3. Carson Macedo (-34) 4. Sheldon Haudenschild (-50) 5. Donny Schatz (-106)
