Something I get asked all the time is "How do I support a loved one who's showing signs of an eating disorder?" In this episode, I answer that question by talking about the major warning signs of an eating disorder and how to address them. If you're a parent, caregiver, teacher, or someone who is close to someone who's exhibiting these signs, please talk to them and encourage them to reach out for help.

You will learn...

  • The major warning signs, symptoms, and personality traits of someone with an eating disorder

  • How to talk to them about it

  • What you can do to help (and what you should NOT do)

Remember: supporting your loved ones is important, but you can’t help anyone who doesn’t want to be helped nor is it your job to “fix” anyone. Make sure you are setting an example by taking care of yourself, too.
