Today on the podcast I interview Andrea Hood, she’s a health coach + co-host of the podcast Badass + Bare.

When I first asked Andrea onto the show she was unsure of how she could be helpful. She's never actually dated! But, she's 11 years strong with her hubby, so I wanted to know how she does it, and how they keep their relationship fresh + exciting.

She also shares her story of how both her + her husband come from a long line of divorce, but both worked hard to not repeat the same patterns + mistakes their family members made. I really loved this conversation in particular, because whether we like it or not, our parents have a huge influence on how we see ourselves + how we relate to others. And the more we resist becoming like our parents, the more we become like them. Andrea shares how she broke that cycle + is creating a new pattern for her relationship with her husband.

As you listen, here's what you'll learn:

  • The exact moment she realized she was recreating the marriage between her parents
  • How getting healthy + creating a solid self-care routine transformed the relationship with herself + got her out of the first year of marriage woes with her husband
  • How to know if you have unrealistic expectations of what you’re relationship “should” feel like, or if you’re settling
  • And more!

About Andrea:

Andrea Hood is an Entrepreneur and co-creator of Badass & Bare podcast, inspiring ear candy for the lady in flux. Andrea’s mission is to empower women to live authentically and stand in their own truth. When Andrea found herself unhappy, overweight, and lacking energy and excitement in her mid-20’s, she knew she needed a serious life overhaul and she set out to do just that. By surrounding herself with a community of like-minded women, and following the lead of mentors and coaches she invested in, Andrea was able to pull herself out of her funk and create the life she had always envisioned. She was able to get the clarity she needed to discover her true purpose in life, to which she does on her own terms and unapologetically, and now she guides other badass women to do the same.
