142: Starved in Africa by National Geographic - a podcast by Chris Pyak with top travel bloggers, digital nomads, world travelers, expat
from 2017-03-01T08:30
In today's special episode, I'm doing another Living Unconventionally Facebook Community Member Spotlight.
Today's spotlight is on Mimi Schector and we talk about her epic 5-week trek across the African Serengeti as part of a documentary for National Geographic in which she was starved (less than 400 calories/day while walking for 6-8 hours each day), chased by wild animals, and forced to swim across crocodile-infested waters.
We also talk about how she's currently finding the balance between working a "stable" corporate job and experiencing the adventure she craves.
