Hey y'all! Thank you so much for listening this month. This episode I wanted to highlight self-published author Kim C. Lee! We talk about the process of self-publishing a book, discovering new technologies and our favorite reads of 2020 AND of all time.

Kim C. Lee - a lover of stories that tickle the heart - is a children's book author and literacy advocate. As a mother, she can attest to the importance of diverse representation in literature and the impacts that its absence and presence can have on children. Inspired by her son, she writes to illuminate the perspectives and experiences of African American children. Kim released her first book, The Night Owl, in July 2020 and then followed it up with second book, Meet Frankie Jordan, in January 2021. At home in Maryland, Kim enjoys spending time with family and tinkering with gadgets of all sorts. Kim is a member of the Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators (SCBWI).
