The main idea of this episode is to explore this notion of our fixation on merit as a true indicator of success in our society and if we ought to move to a model that is a little more holistic. A model that pays attention to the role of humility, cultural togetherness and luck in our general lives. This goes a little beyond just finding ways to deal with wage disparity but really trying to reflect on how we define success and the dignity of work in our culture.
