Forty years ago The Women’s Center started as a resource and counseling center for women who were facing some of life’s most difficult challenges and transitions. Today the Center has grown to include men, families, young adults and children among those it serves, but its mission remains the same. The mission of the Center is to be a vital community resource, providing excellent mental health counseling, support and education to people in the metropolitan area, regardless of their ability to pay for these services, helping them live healthy, stable and productive lives. Serving over 4,000 people between its two locations, the Center collaborates with nonprofits, government and business to expand the conversation of wellness including mental health. Join us this week for an exciting conversation with Shirley Clark, CEO and Executive Director of the Women’s Center, to learn more about her journey and the difference The Women’s Center is making in the lives of thousands.
