 A report by GSMA and NTT Data on the use of QR codes as a method of payment suggests that mobile POS payments will account for $4 trillion, nearly half of all digital payments by 2024. Josep Alvarez of NTT Data explains to Robin Amlot of IBS Intelligence that the use of QR codes, currently dominated by widespread adoption in China and Asia, is set to grow in Latin America and Africa.
