Ashley graduated from Rutgers University New Brunswick cum laude with a bachelor's degree in journalism and a bachelor's degree in sociology. During her senior year at Rutgers, she interned in the publicity department at CBS's Black Rock Building in New York City. After graduation, she returned to Cape May and began her career at a small marketing firm in Egg Harbor Township. As an account coordinator, she oversaw advertising campaigns and projects from initial brainstorming to final production.

In the fall of 2009, she made a career change and began working at deSatnick Real Estate. She was the first salaried employee for the company, which, at the time, included less than ten agents. She was hired as the in-house advertisement designer and a licensed agent, assisting the office by coordinating showings and answering phones. Her company roll expanded as the small company grew to include over 50 employees and salespersons. While working at deSatnick Real Estate, she was introduced to The Life Rolls On and The deSatnick Foundations.

When Ashley is not in the office, she is extremely dedicated to her young family and the humanitarian interests dear to her heart. In particular, Ashley is extremely active with her late sister's non-profit organization, NextGen 30. She can be found coordinating multiple events that help support the foundation throughout the year. Ashley is also vested in supporting her colleague's causes, and she strives to leave a positive impression with each encounter, day to day business or otherwise.

In this episode, we discuss:

  • How giving the service of your skills impact organizations
  • Non profit challenges
  • The importance of communicating timeline and expectation
  • Impact of small organizations
  • The value of brainstorming with your competition
  • What a small non profit needs to do to get started
  • Using your mission to guide your actions
