At this hour: The average Manhattan apartment price fell to $1,904,999 in the third quarter, an 8% decline from the prior quarter and 2% less than a year ago, according to Halstead’s Third Quarter 2018 Market Report. This is the third straight quarter the number of sales posted a double-digit decline. The average co-op sales price fell 5% over the past year to $1,312,920.
The average condo price was virtually unchanged in Manhattan compared to the third quarter of 2017.
Also at this Hour: We are in a market where the buyer can truly leverage their power to exert their influence and control over a transaction. However, it’s also important to recognize that if something is well-priced, it will still fly. Look for signals to see how negotiable a seller might be, and work with your broker to present a competitive offer that will still make it a good deal for you.
That isn’t always easy but we will break it down for you.
