Every person I speak to has his or her own unique story of when and how this pandemic hit them, and each is so distinctly beautiful and different. So in this Connection thru Chaos series, I want to give people the chance to share their firsthand accounts. In this episode, we’ll hear from Spiritual Life and Business Coach, Ms. Lauren Eliz Love.
Lauren is the founder of Business Babe, a company that teaches female entrepreneurs how to transform their businesses by transforming themselves. She is a wife, a dog mom, and a spiritual woman who loves houseplants and personal development.
Being a coach during a pandemic is difficult. More than a few of us have had to pivot and run our business a little differently. One important tip from Lauren, though, is to make sure you don’t identify solely as what you do in your business. Instead, learn how to really identify who you are so you can have a healthy relationship with your business AND a healthy relationship with yourself.
In addition, it is important to remember that it's okay if you're having a hard time right now. First, allow yourself to feel those feelings instead of refusing to admit that they're even there. You cannot solve anything when you're feeling resentful, disappointed or frustrated.
To every woman who feels like she can't get a grasp on anything at the moment or is stressed out and triggered by everything that's going on, know it’s perfectly understandable to have those kinds of emotions, and even feel angry. After all, it's not like you can get off your a*s just like that and think positively.
So during this challenging time, be gentle with yourself. Rest when you're feeling tired, don't fret when you don’t feel like doing anything at all and give yourself permission to do whatever feels right.
Seasons of winter such as this will always be there and they will always show up in your business. Right now, we're in a really dark season but what's most important is that we all learn from this.
