from 2020-08-29T10:30:43
This year marks the 20th anniversary of the UN Security Council resolution 1325 on women, peace and security. FBA is the government agency tasked with Sweden’s implementation of the agenda for women, peace and security.
To promote gender equality and realize the Swedish feminist foreign policy, FBA seconds civilian personnel to international peace operations that Sweden takes part in. But what is the role of a gender adviser? Here, two of our secondees share their experiences from working at the EU HQ in Brussels and in a field mission in Africa.
Participants: Charlotte Isaksson, the European Union External Action Service, EEAS, and Jenny Norman, EU's military training mission in the Central African Republic, EUTM CAR.
