Double Tap Canada is back to take a look at all the latest tech news of the week. Starting with a discussion around the news that Apple has been sending out surveys to some customers asking for their thoughts on Face ID & Touch ID. Does this mean that Touch ID will return to iPhones sooner then we thought and is Face ID really that bad? Also, Amazon have started rolling out an updated interface for the Fire TV, with a easier to navigate home screen and other new features will the Fire TV become a must have for streaming media? Shaun isn’t convinced.

Steven has been taking a look at Jaws 2021, specifically the new voice assistant feature. Does a screen reader, or a screen magnifier for that matter, really need a voice assistant? Just what does it offer and how could it help users? Steven may have the answer, as long as he can remember the wake word…

There’s lots more including smart microwaves, what’s happening with satellite internet & 5G, using your iPhone or iPad as a webcam & why Steven still hasn’t seen the best Christmas movie of all-time, Die Hard.

If you have any thoughts on any of the topics in the show, we would love to hear from you. You can email feedback@ami.ca or if you prefer, call or text 844 971 1999.
