growing with my fellow growers  #132 aka GWMFG #132:: STAND UP for your rights, FIGHT White Powdery Mildew, Thrips and bad politics  This week host @jackgreenstalk is joined by a mostly full panel of @spartangrown who can be emailed spartangrown@gmail.com ,  @Dr MJ Coco  of cocoforcannabis.com , kyle breeder aka @pure_breeding now from pbreeding.com, @brandonrust of bokashiearthworks.com for products, seeds and merch, @atgacres aaron the grower also joins and can have more info merch, plant packers (the best way to send clones!) can be found www.atgacres.com ,  @Zenthanol  on youtube matthew gates joins as well and can be found @synchangel on all social media you can support his patreon for access to private discord (https://www.patreon.com/Zenthanol) starting at $1 a month, @noahtheegrowa. joins later on as well.  This week we missed @theamrericanone aka @theamericanone_with_achenes on instagram  On this week show we open up discussing the current situation in Michigan in regards to potential changes to cannabis Laws.  Spartan Grown gives us an update  on the current state of the fight against MCMA (Michigan cannabis manufactures association) a lobby whos proposing laws to limit, or remove entirely the right to homegrown or have access to a caregiver as the current citizen voted in laws provide access for.  This important discussion highlights an issue happening in Michigan, but it is a potential domino that if falls, can set the right or wrong legal precedent moving forward for Michigan and many other states who may follow if they have similar lobbying groups.  After a lengthy discussion of many of the implications of these laws, we also take some questions and comments from the chat.  We share a method that helped one grower achieve their first ever powdery mildew free harvest after continual struggles, and also cover potential solutions for a grower a few weeks from harvest outdoors currently fighting white powdery mildew as well.  One of the comments mentioned thrips, that were present but not a major issue however it was a good time to explain how to prevent and deal with thrips, mathew and spartan share great advice on predators, the ranges of temperature and humidity the two best predators can survive in, and why it is best to use just one type at a time, versus using a combination of both predators.  We discuss the impacts of changing PH of water can have for fighting mildew, molds and even pests, and also the potential implications it may have on the plant, and how to balance whether or not certain stresses are worth putting the plant thru in order to avoid pests, whether molds/mildews or insects. We talk a bit about an all green greenhouse and why it may trick pests, discuss a recent post about using a decoy to potentially scare off moths and butterflies that lead to caterpillars and budworms that plague many grows around the world.  Towards the end we have some discussions about breeding in general, what we are growing, a new drop coming from pure_breeding collabing with green bodhi, some thoughts on regular seeds vs feminized breeding and autoflowers/ autofems.  We also discuss purple vs green strains and the amount available in modern times vs the past.  All this and lots more, so listen in and check out another great week with an awesome panel of generous and dedicated individuals.
