Today Beryl is chatting with Kate Densmore a documentary style family photographer and photography mentor who dreams of living in a world where women see themselves reflected in the simple beauty of their every day.

When she's not documenting families all over the world or encouraging others to follow their photographic dreams, you’ll find her spending time with her husband and two young daughters at their national park home (currently the Grand Canyon, Arizona), and dreaming up ways to best illustrate the emotional themes of motherhood, connection, and family in her work.

In this episode Beryl and Kate chat about:

  • Finding metrics for your worth as a human that aren’t tied up in money, success, or Facebook likes.
  • Why communication and commitment are the two most important things when it comes to making time for your creative fulfillment.
  • Unique photography advice for breaking free of a creative rut -- Kate shares how to letting go of expectations from yourself and others when it comes to photographing your life.
  • And Kate shares the exciting details of her new book from Craft & Vision all about photographing family
