#97 - From Landscaping to Real Estate: The Journey of The Investors Agency with Bobby Haeri - a podcast by Ben Handler

Bobby Haeri started out as a one-man show running The Investor’s Agency. In 2021, he partnered with fellow buyer’s agent Darren Venter. Together, the pair took The Investor’s Agency from four staff members to 10 and secured just under 200 properties in 2022.

In addition to running a successful buyer’s agency, Bobby and Darren have developed DIYBA, an online subscription service that allows property investors to search, compare and buy their own property. On the platform, buyers can select their goals, whether they’re looking for high cash flow or high capital growth and filter properties.“We wanted to create a platform that makes it achievable for everyday Aussies to do the same thing we do,” Bobby says. But he adds that although buyers can use DIYBA for the entire process, there is also an option within DIYBA to connect with a buyer’s agent. Bobby believes there will always be a demand for buyer’s agents, for investors who don’t have the time to do it themselves or who are involved in a complicated purchase.

On the market side, Bobby is noticing more women entering the property investment sector.
