Flare aka Flarington King, is an international drag king producer, performer, and documentarian.  Having been on the scene since 1995, some of Flare’s accomplishments include: Producer of the Fabulous Toronto Drag Kings/The Toronto Drag Kings (1998-2002); Co-Producer with Deb “Dirk” Pearce and Christopher Noel, Toronto’s first International drag king show “United Kingdom” (2002 & 2003) at Buddies in Bad Times Theatre; Winner of “Mr. Goodhandy’s” 2007; Producer of “World Class Kings” for World Pride, Toronto 2014; International Drag King Community Extravaganza (IDKE) steering committee member for eight years (2001-2009); and Co-Producer/Director of “A Drag King Extravaganza” with  Meaghan Derynck, a documentary about drag kings and IDKE distributed by Frameline Studios.

Flare is known for twisting gender norms by mixing drag and burlesque in provocative performances.  One of the first kings in the world to twirl a tassel.   Lives in Toronto, Canada.
