Hi everyone my name is Billy Smith I go by billyh0e I was in active Addiction for 25 plus years I have been clean almost 5 years I lost my father to Addiction 7 years ago next month
And that pain never ends I promise. my fear is to get a call that more of my loved ones or friends have lost their fight with addiction
And that the children they leave behind have to go threw the pain of losing a loved one to such a horrible situation I believe that together we can break this cycle I believe together we can beat Addiction..
If everyone on my page donated 1$ dollar Addiction Avenue could raise enough money to become a legal nonprofit organization to help people fighting Addiction find the help they need to get back to living..... My dream is to have a sober living facility in bell co that helps anyone battling Addiction be successful in the fight for sobriety there are not alot of places in the area that help families or single men with children and the few that help woman with children are always full.....I would like to think of it more as a safe haven for addicts to come take a bath eat sleep if need to in a drug free environment a place where recovery is our number one goal and they never have to fill like they don't belong and that no one understands
We to often give up on our family and friends that can't seem to find a exit from Addiction truth is we can love and help them with out enabling them how? Easy by just being a word of encouragement a ear with out judgement a shoulder to cry on remember love breaks all chains even those of Addiction...... I totally understand how hard it is watching a loved one going threw Addiction and all you want to do is help and you try and try and try but it seems nothing works to the point where most people unfortunately end up just loveing from a distance and I get it I do it's hard... When I got clean it was one of the hardest things I have ever done I didn't have Alot of family or friends in my corner I had burned every bridge and destroyed all relationships with everyone and it seemed I was in the fight for sobriety alone but I wasn't alone first before anyone I had God on my side and then a few people in my life figured I was worth fighting for because they never gave up on me even when I have gave up on myself because of these people I found hope and sobriety thank God.... We do recover... So please if you our someone you know is battling Addiction please don't give up.... If you can find it in your heart to help a recovering addict a felon a father a fighter catch his dreams I promise I won't let you down
